I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Studio from Washburn University in Topeka, KS and a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Ceramics from Fort Hays State University in Hays, KS. My ceramic art has been juried into national and international exhibition. Currently I teach 3 ceramics courses at Kentucky Mudworks in Lexington, KY.
I am a passionate artist and educator who has taught ceramics courses and other creative classes at all levels. My goal as a teacher is to help my students reach whatever goals they set for themselves. Anything is possible.
Most of my work revolves around the theme "Artifacts of the Future". I'm interested in what types of artifacts from our time will be found and how they will be perceived. I've started signing my creative works with "Eleanor Was Here". Some of the pieces in this series have literal function while others are purely a visual playground to ponder.
